Microsoft just confirmed that Namco RPG will release in Japan on August for 7,800 yen.
The internet excitedly responded to Namco Bandai's recent presentation to the press, which showed Tales of Vesperia as both an Xbox 360 and PS3 game. The long-running RPG series has a strong fan following, but Microsoft secured exclusivity for the game. Since then, Namco Bandai has revised its presentation, removing mention of a PS3 version, apologizing for the confusion.
Namco Bandai has revealed that the theme song in the North American and Japanese versions of Tales of Vesperia will be an original recording by chart-topping Japanese pop star Bonnie Pink.
Torrence Davis of The Bitbag writes, "I just checked out Bonnie Pink on iTunes. She's pretty good in both English and Japanese. This game is going to be hot. Microsoft continues to ensure that the Xbox 360 is number one for JRPG's."
The Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3 have brought HD gaming into the mainstream. After years of High-Def in the living room being a hazy concept that really only affected A/V aficionados, the more technologically inclined, and the affluent, these videogame machines have made HD Gaming as simple and affordable as "plug n' play." But as with any consumer device, the hardware, for all its potential, is just that - untapped potential. What really brings out the true worth of the machine is the software that goes into it, and how it utilizes the power built into its system architecture.
Akayuki writes:
"Namco Bandai today announced that it will be bringing the latest addition to the renowned RPG series known as Tales to the Xbox 360 later this year. Titled Tales of Vesperia, this latest installment will be the series' first trip onto next-gen consoles which means an all-new graphics engine -- with character designs provided by the famous Japanese artist Kosuke Fujishima -- to render the classic anime style for which the series is known. Namco Bandai also promises massive battlefields to accompany the series' typical real-time combat system."
The latest issue of PLAY Magazine has details on the latest Tales game, and it just so happens to be a timed exclusive for the Xbox 360. Set to hit the Xbox 360 this year (odds are fourth quarter), Tales of Vesperia is the first Tales game to be in HD and will feature a lot of the trademark excellence that has made the series one of the most loved JRPG's around.
Music composer Motoi Sakuraba has somewhat confirmed that the recently announced Tales of Vesperia game will be released on Xbox 360. This can be concluded from his blog, where he has listed all his projects in which he participated or still is participating in. In this list we find all the Tales of games, with at the bottom Tales of Vesperia for Xbox 360, listed only for Xbox 360.
