Some years it's hard to come up with a clear-cut winner, because there aren't games that stand out in a particular category. This year, for almost every award, it's been hard to pick just one to take the crown as the best in that group. The TXB staff fussed and debated, they yelled and slammed things down, they furiously IMed and e-mailed among themselves¿ and what follows are TXB's selections.
Switchball is out on Xbox Live Arcade and the game will cost you 800 Microsoft Points and the game is 47.43 MB it is not available in Korea and it is rated E for EVERYONE and here is some information about the game: Control an ever-changing ball along a narrow winding maze suspended in midair in Switchball. Stunning 3-D environments including Skyworld, Iceworld, and Caveworld are the background for this puzzle game based on real-world physics. Maneuver your way through challenging levels jam-packed with obstacles and traps. Transform the marbleball with metal, electric and lighter-than-air properties to quickly get through each area.Then go online and play the competitive multiplayer courses. Action puzzler Inventive and fun puzzle-driven play is based on real world physical interactions.
Major Nelson just revealed the two games that will hit Xbox Live Arcade this coming Wednesday. Both Switchball and World Puzzle will be available for 800 Microsoft Points each. Switchball is an action/puzzle game, resembling Marble Blast Ultra, and Word Puzzle is a puzzle game where you combine letters to form words in as fast a time as possible.
The upcoming arcade game features 12 achievements worth a total of 200 points. No release date is currently known, but expect it in the next few weeks.
October 10, 2007 - Xbox Live Arcade and the casual PC market are quickly growing. Sierra isn't about to let the large casual fanbase pass on by. In an effort to capitalize on the blossoming gaming segment, Sierra is dedicating considerably resources to unleash a flurry of new games to Xbox Marketplace and PC in the next few months. IGN had the chance to check out six of these titles, all of which will be available on both XBLA and the PC by Q1 2008.
TeamXbox got a bit of a sneak peek at Sierra Online's offering for next week's big show. They say the company, a division of Vivendi Games, plans to unveil three new Xbox Live Arcade titles, including Battlestar Galatica.
