MadCatz and Capcom have announced a very limited 500 controllers of the Street Fighter 4 FightStick and Fight Pad that will be released this week, featuring an exclusive design for Comic-Con 2009. The controllers are based on the existing Street Fighter IV Arcade FightStick: Tournament Edition and Street Fighter IV Fight Pad, but have artwork featuring Sagat.

The Arcade FightStick: Tournament Edition will cost $179.99 and is limited to 250 units on the Xbox 360 edition and 250 units on the PlayStation 3 edition. The Sagat FightStick will be numbered for their limited status. The Fight Pad will cost $49.99 and is limited to 500 units on the Xbox 360 and 500 units on the PlayStation 3.

They'll be available at Capcom's booth at Comic-Con this week. The Sagat Fight Pad will be made available from the MadCatz online store.

Street Fighter IV - Daigo "The Beast" Umehara Wins EVO 2009 (News)

In a battle straight out of a Hollywood movie script, longtime rivals Justin Wong and Daigo "The Beast" Umehara faced off in the finals at this years EVO Tournament. The player's previous encounters have been some of the most classic matches in the competitive Street Fighter world. Daigo took the first game, where Justin played as Abel, but Justin started to dominate when he switched over to Balrog (Boxer). Since Justin was coming from the losers bracket, after being put there by Daigo earlier in the the tournament, he win two sets of first to 3. He won the first set, and took the second set all the way to the final game, but Daigo's used Ryu to dissect Justin's style, and closed out the tournament. The match represents the battle between North America, with Justin Wong, and their attempt to dethrone Japan from their longstanding domination of the fighting game scene.

Capcom's Street Fighter IV will not be adding any new characters to its roster anytime in the near future, in an effort to maintain the core game's relevance.

While Capcom has already released two downloadable content (DLC) packs for Street Fighter IV, with the first being "Championship Mode", where players compete for points and ranking, along with the ability to record and vote on matches. The second DLC pack was five sets of alternate costumes for characters, and later on a value pack of all the skins.

Street Fighter IV's Championship mode Tournament is open and up for download.

Dubbed the 'Power Pack', it adds the option to not only start fighting in the SF4 tournament (and the European one Console Monster mentioned recently) but to also record your matches.

Update: Currently however the pack seems to be having technical issues where you cannot create or join online matches. Console Monster are sure Capcom are on it even though no official word has been spoken.

You can download the pack right from the marketplace here and pop your SF4 CD in to grab the title update as well.
