I hope this game does great. Even if I never actually play it. Mainly just to spite all the whiners and people bitching about this game. Hurray for free speech. Boo for people who want to censor and sanitize anything they dont feel comfortable with.

Realism in war games can only mean good things. Maybe then 12 years olds wont think war is pressing the a button faster then your opponent or pulling combos. War is hell.

Good to see games made for people with actual maturity past pre-pubescence

ReaperOfDarkness: Agree 100% regarding the +'s of realism. I am not pro war by any means and did not agree with going into Iraq (hay every one's free to have an opinion), but giving a real glimpse of what our men and women face over there is a good thing. Especially if it is done working closely with those who actually faced the shit on the ground.

If you didn't have a problem with COD4 (not bad, but completely unrealistic) your a total hypocrite to bitch about this.

I like adult games for adults. This looks like it could be good if done right, and in a respectful way, for the Marines, civilians, etc. I guess thats the big if.

I am sure if my son died over there I would be pissed no matter how it was handled.

Something very wrong went on in this discussion, but when you give a bunch of blowhards a platform...
And shame this got canned, it seems like it was a pretty good idea, ala Generation Kill. You see too much blank-faced war these days anyway, you hardly ever understand what's on the ground...which about half the posters on the first page of comments seem to be seeing, only.
And Kipp56 is pretty much correct.

this game is based from the marines who were there. these marines are giving them the details to make this game. this is their story through a video game. i was in iraq, and was shot at and have shot back. i really look forward to this game and will be the first in line to raise hell about it being banned. what would the problem be for a game when we have press up our military's ass?
