If there's one game that's going to make punters rush out to buy an Xbox 360 at launch, then surely this is it.

The incredibly fast street racer retains the sheer playability of its predecessors while mixing in snazzy next-gen visuals, a new Playtime mode that allows players to distinguish between 'serious' racing and just larking about, plus 10 unlockable concept cars that have never before appeared in a game.

But, if nothing else, Bizarre Creations' design manager Gareth Wilson suggests you check out the, um, lighting. "The game's real next-gen component is the lighting and shading. All of our lighting is calculated in realtime," he told us recently. So now you know.

Project Gotham Racing 3 will be released for Xbox 360 later this year
