Project Gotham Racing 3

PGR 3's Hot New Wheels

Racing fans get 12 new cars for around five bucks and gameplay improvements for free

If, for some reason, you've decided that you're bored with your Project Gotham Racing 3 garages full of exotic sports cars, here's good news: the PGR 3 Speed Pack is now available via the Xbox Live Marketplace, offering a dozen new cars and some gameplay improvements that all players should enjoy.

The list of cars reads like a speed junkie's dream:

Audi RS 4
Chevrolet Corvette Z06
Dodge Viper SRT-10 Coupe
Lamborghini Gallardo SE
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII FQ-400
Nissan NISMO R34GT-R Z-Tune
Pontiac GTO
Radical SR8
RUF RT12
Saleen S7 Twin Turbo
Ferrari 612 Scaglietti
Aston Martin V8 Vantage

The V8 Vantage is free to all players; the other 11 will cost you 400 Microsoft Points, or about five bucks. (If you don't want them all, you can grab the cars you want, but you'll spend more Points per car that way.) But as we learned when we spoke to Ben Ward, the Web and Community Manager for PGR 3 developer Bizarre Creations, the selection of these vehicles was anything but random. "We picked all of the cars to complement the original car selection," he reveals. "We’ve been especially lucky; in the time since PGR 3 was released there have been plenty of new - and awesome - racers released to the world. Virtually all of the cars we picked are brand new 2005/2006 models."
