Clarifying reports made earlier this week, Valve marketing VP Doug Lombardi has told Shacknews that plans to bring new maps and content to the console editions of Team Fortress 2 are still up in the air.

PC Gamer's got a load of new info on the major changes coming to Team Fortress 2, which Valve teased everyone with earlier this month. Referred to as a 'large-scale modification' by the developer, it turns out it's unlockable weapons that are set to be made available to each of the game's nine classes.
Two new maps for Valve's Team Fortress 2 will hopefully arrive within the next two months, the studio has informed Shacknews.

Team Fortress 2, part of Valve's epic The Orange Box compilation that was released last week, is experiencing some serious lag issues on Xbox Live. The vast majority of complaints stem from gamers attempting to participate in more competitive 6v6 or 8v8 matches, where "connection to host lost" messages became common place or gameplay rendered completely unplayable by never ending lag.
