Animation software company Image Metrics has revealed that its proprietary facial animation solution was used to animate characters in games including 2K Games' Top Spin 3, Epic's Unreal Tournament 3, and Rockstar's Midnight Club Los Angeles and Grand Theft Auto IV.
2K Games and 2K Sports have just revealed their lineup for the show, and according to Kotaku, the Games folks definitely have the edge here. They'll be showing the intriguing new shooter from Gearbox, Borderlands, as well as Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution, the first Civ game created solely for consoles and handhelds. The Sports team will be showing off Top Spin 3, NBA 2K8 and NHL 2k8. 2K Sports just announced at E3 that their internal development studio PAM Development is working on a new installment in the Top Spin franchise. Top Spin 3 will be released in Spring 2008 for both Xbox 360 and Playstation 3. Top Spin 3 will feature some new gameplay mechanics, as well as the ability to modify your character.

Microsoft have recently revealed fresh details about the fortcoming Live Vision camera. Top among the new details is that the camera will ship with a free game called Totemball.
Kotaku: "Sega is getting ready to launch Beijing 2008 later this month, and they've just dropped new information and screens on the various track and field events available for play in the Olympic title. Six track events and eight field events make up the T&F portion of the game, with the races benefiting from a new analogue starting block mechanic involving the controller's trigger buttons. Players will be able to either button mash or stick-waggle to work up speed, intermittently leaping hurdles where applicable."
