You read that right, the upcoming Orange Box for the 360 will break the mold and rules with 99 achievements. The previous cap was 55 for a total of 1250. The 99 achievements are still only worth a total of 1000 points so expect many small rewards as you work through this game.
Developer Valve confirmed the previously rumored October release at Games Convention 2007. Valve confirmed that the PC and Xbox 360 versions will hit retail shelves on October 10 in America and October 12 in Europe. The Playstation 3 version, unfortunately, will arrive a 'few weeks later'.

Recently posted was a petition for Half-Life 1 to be part of the Orange box. The signature count has reached 210 in two days. This might be another Bioshock petition in the making.
A petition has been started to get Valve to include Half-Life in the Collectors edition of Half-Life 2 for Xbox 360/PS3.
In a recent preview on IGN they stated the game to be shipping for the PC and 360 come early fall but the PS3 version would be delayed possibily to 2008.
Valve Software has provided an update on Half-Life 2: Episode 2 and Team Fortress 2, which are part of the The Black Box and The Orange Box, which will be published by EA this Fall.
