Gamers will be getting their Japanese role-playing game fix on the Xbox 360 soon. Japanese Xbox 360 gamers will also be getting a taste of US and European developed RPGs. At the "Xbox 360 RPG Premiere 2008" event in Shibuya, Tokyo today, release dates on upcoming Xbox 360 RPGs from Square Enix, Namco Bandai and Microsoft Game Studios were revealed.
Square Enix Ltd., the publisher of Square Enix® interactive entertainment products in Europe and other PAL territories, today announces three new RPGs for the Microsoft Xbox 360 system that will be released across all PAL territories beginning with INFINITE UNDISCOVERY on 5th September 2008 and followed by THE LAST REMNANT and STAR OCEAN®: THE LAST HOPE. All three RPGs will be globally released in 2008-2009.
Square Enix just announced that RPG Last Remnant will be first released on Xbox 360, worldwide, this winter.
Square Enix's Tokyo Game Show lineup, announced today in Tokyo, is full of surprises, both good and bad. It turns out, for instance, that Dragon Quest IX will be shown, although in video form only. Also surprising is the video-only showing of The Last Remnant. That game appeared to be far enough along at the Square Enix Party earlier this year that IGN was expecting a playable debut.
The Playstation 3 Version of The Last Remnant has managed to take the spot previously owned by Halo 3 in Famitsu's Most wanted list at number 20.
