While doing a little domain crawling, Voodoo Extreme noticed that ZeniMax Media, the parent company of Bethesda Softworks, recently purchased ElderScrollsOnline.com. Combine this little acquisition with the fact that it recently opened up a online game division headed up by Mythic co-founder Matt Firor.
There are some new free in game content for oblivion out on Xbox Live Marketplace and the content is called The Fighter's Stronghold and its size is 9.61 MB. It's available in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom and United State and is rated M for Mature. Here is some information about the content: Become the Lord of Battlehorn Castle; a sprawling stronghold nestled deep in the Colovian Highlands.
Fighter's Stronghold gives you none other than your very own Castle, complete with a troop of knights to defend it, a secret treasure vault, a wine maker to brew special potions, a combat trainer to spar with, and even a taxidermist to fashion sculptures out of your most impressive kills.
Bethesda Softworks sent over a note announced they will release their last downloadable content extra for 2006's fantasy RPG The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The download, titled Fighter's Stronghold, will launch on Oct. 15 for both the PC and Xbox 360 versions and for the first week will be free to download.

Bethesda has released information on several upcoming products which will be available on store shelves this week. The Japanese will get the PlayStation 3 version of Oblivion, the Xbox 360 version was released several months ago and has been reported to be selling well so they hope the PS3 version will do the same.
Bethesda Softworks sends word that The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Game of the Year Edition has been shipped to stores and will be for sale starting on Tuesday. Oblivion GotY includes the original version of Oblivion, along with the official expansion, The Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles, and the downloadable content, Knights of the Nine.
