360 - Damnation - Destructoid PAX 08: Damnation hands-on Destructoid hands-on:
We managed to get a peek at Damnation at E3 earlier this summer. We were glad that Codemasters had us over to check it out, but we were a bit bummed to see that it was a hands-off preview. Luckily we were finally able to get some hands-on time with Damnation at PAX.
Damnation is set in a world that you might call an Orwellian alternate America. It has an early 1900's mostly-American feel, but there are also European elements and steampunk influences. The setting is unique to say the least.
Keep your eye out on more of Damnation, coming to the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.

360 - Damnation - BioShock shouldn't have worked - Eurogamer writes: "Damnation developer Blue Omega reckons there was "no frigging way" BioShock should have ended up being successful.

Game designer Jason Minkoff was comparing it to Damnation to illustrate that all you can do in the shooter genre is pour your heart into a project and hope it gets noticed.

"We're just making the best we can, because a good game is a good game. And if you make a good game, somebody is going to notice and somebody is going to play it," Jason Minkoff told Eurogamer on our trip to see Damnation."

360 - Dance Dance Revolution Universe - Dance Dance Revolution celebrates 10th birthday One of the most important titles in the history of casual gaming can stand up proud this week, with Konami's Dance Dance Revolution dance mat series reaching the ripe old age of ten.

Known as Dancing Stage in Europe, the series first arrived in Japanese arcades on November 21st 1998 and quickly went on to become a gaming sensation. Konami ditched the traditional joypad or joystick and introduced a pressure-sensitive dance mat that registers when a player's foot hits each of the four directional pads.

It didn't take long for the arcade craze to make the move to consoles, and the series arrived on Sony's pioneering PlayStation in Japan early in 1999, bringing with it the first iteration of the console dance mat.
