360 News from N4G | 3D Ultra Minigolf Adventures
360 - 3D Ultra Minigolf Adventures - Free LIVE Arcade game offer Itching for a gratis Xbox Live Arcade game? Microsoft is offering one of five titles for free, but you have to follow these three steps:

1. Sign up for 12 months of Xbox Live Gold between now and January 5. It must be done directly through Xbox Live, meaning you can't use that prepaid card your mom or significant other bought you as a gift.

2. Decide what game you want free: Zuma, Marble Blast, Sonic the Hedgehog, Assault Heroes or 3D Ultra Minigolf. Do this step in your head.

3. Download a gamer pic or theme related to the game. Only the first one counts, so make sure you didn't skip Step 2 before downloading a picture of a putter when you're hoping to nab Sonic.

See, folks? Even with digital distribution, TINSTAAFL applies: There is no such thing as a free lunch. Of course, if you were needing to upgrade or renew your subscription anyways, you might as well get something extra out of it.

360 News from N4G | 3D Ultra Minigolf Adventures
360 - 3D Ultra Minigolf Adventures - It's an XBLA dual-strike! OXM is taunting how if internet whispers are to be believe it looks like Microsoft is set to up the ante by bringing us two new titles this week, one old and one new.

The first title tipped for the double-whammy Xbox Live Arcade release is the long-awaited 3D Ultra Minigolf Adventures, from the same developer that brought us Assualt Heroes. As you can imagine it's full of whacky courses and holes ¿ 36 to be exact ¿ and there's also a customizable course editor for you to try your hand and creating even more bizarre putting challenges.

Tag-teaming 3D Ultra Minigolf Adventures is the classic Konami shooter Gyruss, which was originally released in Arcades in the early 80s. Gyruss follows in the Galaga tradition of space shooting but with one important twist; it has a forced "3D" perspective where your ship is flying towards the screen rather than the familiar sidescrolling affair.

Of course it's no surprise that Microsoft is attempting to get more games onto the download service; casual games boss Bryan Trussel told us last month that the company was trying to "trying to bump up ...

The first 50 Cent game has sold a nice 1.1 millon games, but his latest game (Blood on the Sand) has only sold 56.000 copies (in 2 months). That's not really impressive, and we think that 50 Cent games become to the history from now.'

360 News from N4G | 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand
360 - 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand - 50 Cent's New Game Selling 1/12th Of His First One Better reviews don't seem to be helping 50 Cent's newest video game.

Despite earning higher review scores than 2005's 50 Cent Bulletproof, February's Blood on the Sand has sold an estimated 56,000 copies in the U.S. between its February launch and early April.

Its predecessor did far better.

In its first two months of release in the fall of 2005, Bulletproof sold 681,000 copies, en route to lift-to-date sales of 1,123,000 units, according to NPD.

The original game had a Metacritic score of 47; the new game has a 71 and has been described as a guilty pleasure on some of the top gaming podcasts and review sites.
