Marcel Vega from Brazilian site Xbox Today attended the Forza 2 pre-launch party and has the pics to prove it! He writes:

"Just a quick recap: the press was invited to the pre lauch party of Forza Motorsport 2 at Granja Viana´s International Circuit (for Karts). After the press event, we were given the chance to participate on 2 tournaments: one on a real track and another on the 360 (Forza 2, fo course). Both winners received a Forza 2 themed Trophy (and I almost won the Forza 2 tournament, with a memorable second place, losing only the last race).

As you can see in the pictures, there was a Stock Car there as well, as Microsoft sponsors Team Officer, where Duda Pamplona (a Brazilian Stock Car Champion) is the racer. It sure looks cools with the 360 logo on the front. Duda drove the Kart that can be seen in another picture, that also has the 360 logo on it (and it looks great)."

Elsewhere the Forza 2 pre-launch parties got as interesting as playing the game on three Samsung monitors, proving once again that, yes, Brazilians know how to party.

Noticed something funny today at the Forza 2 launch. Perched atop the 360 that was running the game on the three-screen setup was this mysterious black box. Which turned out to be a thermometer. An official, Xbox-branded thermometer.

North American gamers can finally pick up their copy of the next-generation racing sim for Xbox 360.

Tomorrow is the big day. Tuesday, May 29th Forza Motorsport 2 will hit retail stores across North America, with a European release to follow on June 8 and an Australian release on June 14th. The latest blogcast talks a lot about the game, and how the Force Feedback Wheel will be used in the game.

As gamers in the UK are left counting the days to the 8th of June when Microsoft's epic racer Forza 2 is released over here, it seems Turn 10's driving sim is mysteriously already available in certain countries.

Reports from both India and the Czech Republic are claiming that the game is out now, with the Japanese version of the game also due out today. The Czechs aside, Europe still has to hold out until the 8th of June.

What is the score with the limited edition, what is the extra you get with this version? If you go to game and click on forza at the bottom of the page it comes up with a link to the strategy guide and the limited edition, with the text

"The same speedy action as the Standard Edition but with added bonus cars!"

Online game retailers in the U.S. have not yet listed such edition, so we don't know anything about the content of this Limited Collector's Edition.

Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines and prepare for the biggest racing event this side of Christmas: Forza Motorsport 2 has finally gone Gold, and will be with us at the end of May in the US, and the beginning of June for the EU. Also, if you've been enjoying the demo, there is a little competition for you.

Starting with the competition since that's important, you have to try and set the best time possible on the demo track in one of three specified cars. A quick warning though: thanks to the weekend disrupting the news and what-not, this competition expires on the 15th May, so you don't have a lot of time now unfortunately. You know you've got it bad when you dream about a game. Thankfully Jonathan M. Gitin from ars technica, subconscious was wrong, and the Forza Motorsport II demo did indeed appear on Xbox Live this morning for download. Since Jonathan woke up about as early as a 10-year-old on Christmas Day and there was no way he was going back to bed, he got a little face time with his most eagerly anticipated game of the last few years.

This news is not yet 100% official, but Che Chou(One of the leaders in Turn 10's crew) has written a post on the forzamotorsport.net forums.
The post is this: "Demo is definitely hitting tonight -- but it'll be pretty painful for east coasters.

Trying to pin down an exact time."

This mean that the demo will hopefully be out tonight.
So we can only hope and see!
