Hey, Che Chou, community manager at Turn 10 Studios, creators of Forza Motorsport 2. I have a question. When are Xbox 360 owners going to have the opportunity to pony up some Microsoft Points for new downloadable content? Three hundred cars and a baker's dozen tracks just isn't cutting it anymore. A general answer will be fine.

The general answer to that question has always been "yes," we definitely have DLC up our sleeves and will release a series of car packs and new tracks starting in August and running probably through a good chunk of fall. Forza Motorsport 2 is definitely here to stay. We're also going to continually keep an eye on community and its successes and problems, patching and tweaking where we need to and rewarding those who are especially helpful or give back to the community.

Talking on the official Forza Motorsport 2 website, community manager of Turn 10 Che Chou has revealed that new downloadable content is coming 'very soon', with an announcement due 'any day now'.

There are no specific details as what's set to be included in the content (or whether it'll be free or not!) but it's also due to be coupled with an auto-update set to fix certain bugs and exploits found in Forza 2 since release.

"There are some very real bugs in the game that a handful of you have encountered by chance, or have intentionally exploited for gains. These include duping cars to use in the Auction House, using a speed glitch to get super fast times on the Nissan Speedway, getting hit with a bug that gives you a time on the Test Track King Cobra track in the micro-seconds, or taking advantage of a PI calculation bug that gives the Lotus Elan an unfair advantage in its class (and hence dominating the scoreboards). There will be a Forza 2 auto-update patch that will fix these issues very soon.

"The patch will also be coupled with our first DLC pack. Why am I being so vague about dates? Well, because we've just released the thing to certification and I don't want to make any promises I can't keep -- especially if the cert team bounces it back to us. In any case, if all goes well, we'll have an announcement to make about this any day now."

A response has been posted by Christian "Squido" Owens which is the Turn 10 Test Manager. Essentially what is said is Forza 2 does not cause hardware failure, and if you're having hardware problems follow troubleshooting procedures for those problems. Included in these hardware problems are the repeated freezing or crashing many have been reporting.

In what appears to be an effort to conceal the over 900 replies gamers provided on the official Forzamotorsport.net forums about Forza Motorsport 2 crashing on the Xbox 360, Microsoft has deleted the long thread, now stating that it's "exclusive content for registered forum users" only. However, the thread was removed entirely, even to registered members. This comes after the thread was revealed and reported on yesterday, gaining plenty of attention. In the thread, hundreds of gamers posted their stories on what happened to the 360 when playing Forza 2, and expressed frustration, anger, and disappointment.
