Ubisoft has announced today that DLC for Far Cry 2 will be hitting the Xbox Live Marketplace and Playstation Store by the end of November. The "Fortune's Pack" DLC will be bringing new vehicles and weapons to the game for both the single and multiplayer modes.

Playing through Far Cry 2 and it just freezed up on me at 62%. I kept trying to reboot and load again but it doesn't let me. So i went to the different forums to see if anyone else has experienced this problem and it appears many people have.

Quaz51 - the guy from beyond3d forum who found the native resolution of GTA4 (PS3) and Halo 3 (X360), confirmed that the PS3 version of Far Cry 2 is running at 960*1080p as opposed to 1280*720p on X360.

After all this hullabaloo about how the PlayStation 3 is the only "true" HD console, here comes the release of FarCry 2 to slap Sony's PR in the balls. In addition to people complaining about the messed-up widescreen and mandatory 3.5GB install, the PS3 version falls short of its Xbox 360 counterpart by only supporting 720p while the 360 version supports full 1080p.

Publisher Ubisoft has confirmed that, for the PC, its open-world shooter Far Cry 2, which hits alongside the PS3 and Xbox 360 editions on October 21, will use the same SecuROM DRM technology found in Spore, Crysis Warhead, and the upcoming Red Alert 3.

Ubisoft forum manager bukowski113 posted the deatils on the game's official forum:

# You have 5 activations on 3 separate PCs.
# Uninstalling the game "refunds" an activation. This process is called "revoke", so as long as you complete proper uninstall you will be able to install the game an unlimited number of times on 3 systems.
# You can upgrade your computer as many time as you want (using our revoke system)
# Ubisoft is committed to the support of our games, and additional activations can be provided.
# Ubisoft is committed to the long term support of our games: you'll always be able to play Far Cry 2.
