Lionhead Studios released a patch for the Fable 2 Pub Games that resets the Fortunes Tower leaderboards and fixes the famous gold exploit.
The parade of bloviation about the Fable II Pub Games exploit just will not die down. Of course, first Peter Molyneux said that cheaters would be "in for a surprise" if they tried to transfer their ill-gotten wealth to Fable II, once it releases. Then a couple sites spotted something curious in IGN's Fable II preview, in which Molyneux implied the glitch was actually a deliberate inclusion. Now Lionhead Studios has put out a patch, although someone is claiming that drive maintenance will reactivate the exploit.
Console Monster writes: "We have just added the Achievements for Fable 2 on the Xbox 360. The list rewards players for completing certain activities within the game or seeing another Hero do so. The list is identical to the leaked list back in August but we have the images for the full list.
MCV: Lionhead Studios boss Peter Molyneux has spoken of his concerns over the restrictive nature of 'core' and 'casual' games – adding that development of the latter 'are frowned on a bit'.

Eurogamer writes: "Peter Molyneux has claimed that the Fable 2 Pub Games glitch, which allowed bets to be increased ten-fold by some timely button pressing, was absolutely intentional.

The British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) has rated Lionhead's Fable II as a 15 certificate. This may not be such a bad thing for gore lovers as you'll find from the report produced by the BBFC.

Peter Molyneux recently remarked in Xbox World 360 that he was super-pleased with how Fable II has turned out, saying:
Kotaku having an interview with Lionhead Studiou's Sam Van Tilburgh earlier today, told that Pub Games will not be the only way to earn cash for Fable 2.
Fable 2 is days, if not hours from going gold, Lionhead Studio's Sam Van Tilburgh told Kotaku today. "We have one or two bugs that are keeping us from going gold," Van Tilburgh said.

The event known as E3 has gone through more than a few changes in recent years. Up until 2006, it was inarguably the single biggest, most important trade show and event in the entire game industry. This year, E3 returned to the hallowed halls of the Los Angeles Convention Center, but in a different way. The event itself no longer occupied the entire venue (restricting itself primarily to the central Concourse Hall), and it changed its name to the E3 08 Business and Media Summit. Still, there were plenty of very impressive games on hand, and GameSpot made sure to bring you live coverage every day of the show, both from our editorial writing team and from our live stage show, which broadcast demonstrations of the most exciting games at E3 2008--and exclusive demonstrations of a few other games that weren't at the show and couldn't be seen anywhere else.
If you noticed in the details to Fable 2's Collector's Edition, there was an "Otherworldly Bonus" for in-game content. Packaged with the announcement were screenshots, including one conspicuously labeled "Fable2_MasterChief.jpg." Yep, that's not just a coincidence, you're looking at a faux-medieval variant of the Halo superstar. (Halo 3 ending spoiler alert) I guess we know what universe he crash-landed in.
