Battlestations: Midway demo hits Live
Plus, new tactical screens inside
Words: Justin Towell, GamesRadar UK
A playable demo of Xbox 360's World War II shooter Battlestations: Midway is available now on Xbox Live Marketplace for free download. The demo features the Islands of Solomon level, where up to eight-players can compete against each other as the US Allied Forces take on the might of the Japanese Imperial Army.
As our hands-on multiplayer preview explained, success in Battlestations: Midway comes down to your tactical abilities. And with over 100 units including planes, battleships and submarines as well as air bases and shipyards to throw into the bargain, there's a lot of scope for clever strategies. But don't be fooled into thinking this is a mere strategy game - you'll be taking direct control of the action, too, with frantic dogfights and battleship control. Get in!
The full game is still on track for its January 30th release for Xbox 360 and PC, so check back for more coverage on this promising title soon. In the meantime, be sure to hit the Images tab to check out the new screens and then get downloading that demo.
