WildStar double jumps and dodges in movement video

WildStar is one of our most anticipated MMOs, but you might not know much about the game beyond its stylized characters and settings. Fear not, substance seekers: the latest segment of WildStar's DevSpeak video series focuses on the most fundamental element of any action-type game: movement.

Scampering around and jumping over obstacles isn't exactly a back-of-box bullet point, but Carbine makes a compelling case for the finer details.

Carbine aims to set WildStar apart from stationary MMO combat of yore with double jumps, dodges, and sprinting. If you want to see for yourself before its tentative release date later this year, sign up for beta here.

I'm still worried the combat may play tooooo closely to standard MMO combat. Not that I, personally, am worried about that, but I fear the community may shun that and it'll die out... like I hope Neverwinter doesn't. But that was a damn good video. The movement takes all the right keys from games like Tera, Neverwinter, and even... Ratchet and Clank? I'm pretty damn excited for it.
