Wii U: Watching Reggie and Iwata talk over Wii U Chat makes everything seem right with the world

Impressive self-control from Iwata while drawing on Reggie

You've probably already seen the Wii U unboxing video from the most recent Nintendo Direct, but that wasn't the only snippet of audio/visual joy to come from the broadcast. Nintendo has also released this video which shows its US chief, Reggie Fils-Aime, and Nintendo's president, Satoru Iwata, engaging in conversation via Wii U Chat.

We'll be honest: There's little information here we didn't already know (erm... the Home button on the GamePad flashes if an incoming call occurs while you're playing a game) but that's beside the point. We'd like to think all Reggie and Iwata's conversations are this endearing and that they always wave goodbye to each other when they're done. Favourite bit?

[Excitedly] "This is in my office, right now!"

"Oh... OK..."

I assumed Reggie lived/worked in a giant cave. That's what NGamer told me anyway. But yes, this is awesome. I know "Skype and everything", but Nintendo just try and make everything a bit more fun; for some reason this is usually ridiculed.

A $350 machine that can barely do what skype does for free, shut up and sarcastically take my money!

Reggie knows how to speak Japanese, as if he couldn't be anymore awesome.
