Watch Superman's return in Justice League UK wrap footage

Zack Snyder caused a bit of a stir at the end of Batman v Superman when the kissy-curled Kryptonian died. No-one expected him to stay dead for long, though. Henry Cavill was all lined up for the sequel Justice League. Even though we've seen images that suggest the Man of Steel is definitely involved, this latest footage confirms he is like, 100% in the movie. Oh, and it looks like heaps of fun too. Check it out:

After the first trailer dropped at Comic Con everyone was taken aback by how lighthearted it all seemed. Was this really the film to follow Dawn of Justice? This sizzle reel would suggest that a more frivolous, carefree tone is being adopted, as the entire cast and crew look like they're having a whale of a time goofing around.

That's not to say that the finished product will contain those gaffes. That in itself is a shame; I'd love to see Aquaman really steal Wonder Woman's sword for a fight! But it does go some way to explaining why that initial teaser amped up the feelgood vibes between the members of the Justice League.

The footage marks the end of the UK portion of the film shoot, which appears to have captured some intriguing moments. The team surveying an abandoned building, and four of the members riding an elevator to.... who knows? At that point it seems as if either a) Supes is battling something somewhere else or b) he's not yet been resurrected.

The brief glimpse we get of him isn't with his fellow superheroes, but behind the scenes, so it's hard to tell how his return slots into the plot. Still, at least we've seen him in action.

Albeit, learning how to do either mime a cat's cradle or do The Fonz's "ayyyyy":

Directed by Zack Snyder and starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, J.K. Simmons, Willem Dafoe, Amber Heard, Ezra Miller, and Ray Fisher, Justice League is currently scheduled for a November 17, 2017 release.
