Video: Are Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3’s power levels still crazy?

Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 is an updated package to the long-awaited sequel that hit store shelves early this year. Among the many new additions to the game is a much expanded roster, new costumes and stages, online multiplayer fixes, and a mode where you can play as Galactus. But to a select group of nerds, one question remained: Were the power levels still incredibly wrong?

In case you missed our video months ago, the original MvC3 had bios for all the characters and each had their power levels and attributes listed in the Marvel style. The only problem was that through some mistake, Capcom characters had way higher stats than the Marvel characters, some ludicrously so. Henry, Mike, with special guests Chris Antista (PC Gamer) and Brett Elston (Capcom Unity), teamed up to see if the issue had finally been fixed. The results may surprise you.

And here’s the original video of the wacky power levels in case you missed it.

Amazing, that old video is one of my favorite GR articles ever.

I can't decide which is funnier: Brett and Henry getting all worked up about Marvel lore, or Chris and Grimm trying to understand what they're talking about.

Nice. The first video is what actually got me to listen to TalkRadar in the first place. Good follow up.

YES! I was waiting for this ever since you guys announced it in TalkRadar! ^^ Such awesome topic to make videos of, nerdy as hell, but hey, how is that ever bad in here? XD

Oh I'm so relieved they fixed those stats! Great video, as per usual. I have a question about the game itself though; is it possible to play versus against just an AI like you could in Super Street Fighter IV? I'd love to play without going into Arcade Mode all the time.

I want to know who does the power grid stuff, some of those numbers never make any sense. It seems half the people in the Marvel universe are freakishly strong and faster than the speed of sound but have the IQ of a walnut.

    i love the nova theme.

Have been looking forward to this and it did not disappoint. The original is what convinced me of gamesradar's superiority.

    *Thumbs up*

I love how in the first video Deadpool's name is unrevealed but in the bio at the bottom, it says Wade.
