Valve celebrates free Portal 2: Peer Review DLC launch with half-off Steam sale

Valve is crazy awesome. Today, Portal 2 owners can start enjoying the completely free “Peer Review” DLC on Steam XBLA and PSN, which continues the story of P-Body and Atlas. That’s great news, but apparently bringing Portal 2 fans free DLC for every platform isn’t enough for Valve. To celebrate today’s launch of Peer Review, Portal 2 is now on sale for 50% off on Steam. Quick, take advantage of this oversight before someone tells Valve how silly it's being.

Until 4pm PST on Thursday, Oct 6, Portal 2 is half-off from Steam. Most companies don’t just start charging $14.99 for a perfect-scoring title. As promised earlier this month, the DLC adds a bunch of singleplayer and co-op tests and challenges, as well as leaderboards for Challenge Mode. It'll be automatically downloaded the next time you sign into Steam, but remember: it’s also free for consoles.

Honestly – for a company that's apparently more profitable-per-employee than Google or Apple, Valve continues to impress.
