Will be interesting to see if a screen gets jammed in to the next Xbox controller. The original "fat" Xbox controller was a lot like a Dreamcast controller with the VMU screen replaced with a gigantic Xbox logo. Perhaps the circle is now complete.

    Will it blend?

The most important question went un-asked though: Will it have games worth playing that can't be played anywhere else?

Halo, maybe Respawn, probably Gears. and of course early CoD dlc. oh, and that crytek medieval kinect thing. and fable. X∞ is poised to remain the bro console, which should be good enough in america. in europe on the other hand, it's going to have a hard time against the FIFA/PES console (I know that these are multiplatform games, but footie fans can be an opinionated bunch) and japan... is a place that exists. not that anyone at MS noticed.

as for the smaller artsy titles, MS did great earlier this generation but at some point slowed down and let sony take the lead.. these are not platform sellers / hype engines, so whatever's planned in the area is likelier to stay close to the chest at this point.

See, that's why I added "worth playing" to my question. If all the exclusives they have to offer are more of the same run of the mill shooters like this gen, or Kinect titles, then there's really not much going for it. The 360 has started out super strong in all fronts because it offered a TON of exclusives at the time, and not just shooters. You had Condemned, Dead or Alive 4, Dead Rising, Lost Planet, Lost Odyssey, Bioshock, Oblivion. Most of these eventually also came to the PS3, but for the first three years? it made the 360 the obvious must have console. But seeing how MS has handled it's console for the past 2 years... I don't see them even close to pulling that off this time...
