There was me thinking that the Navy SEALS were being reprimanded for giving poor advice leading to a mediocre game.

Everyone who had a hand in this game should face serious disciplinary trouble.

All joking about the games quality aside, those guys deserve much better treatment than this.

EA put a few guys out of a promotion, but Activision closes down game studios regularly and lays of thousands of people. Yes, "activision all the way". You are an idiot. http://www.gamesradar.com/exactly-how-many-studios-has-activision-closed-generation-exactly-many/

  • Turtman - November 16, 2012 3:13 a.m.

So does Steam. So does Xbox Live with Indie games. So does PSN/Live with multiplayer titles. You know even less.
  • xx_CaPTiiN_SpAiiN_zz - November 16, 2012 8:56 a.m.

  • Turtman - November 16, 2012 12:52 p.m.

You can be connected to the Internet and not be signed into Live, ya big dummy. How do you think PC players play online? Dummy. You can't play games on Steam unless you are logged in. Dummy. And Activision games are on Steam. Dummy.

Good job EA. Make a crap, also-ran of a game, and get our service men and women into hot water (no pun intended) with their responsibilities. I will say that the SEALs probably also knew they weren't supposed to be divulging the info, but I seriously doubt that EA will do a damn thing to compensate these people.
  • Travia220 - November 9, 2012 10:57 a.m.

Yes, because EA put a gun to their head and forced them. Let's not put the blame of stupid people on EA. It's not EA Games job to compensate them for doing something stupid.
  • ultimatepunchrod - November 13, 2012 6:37 a.m.

Yes, but to me at least, it seems a bit selfish of EA to not protect these people's identity in one way or another. It's just a jerk move.
  • Pwnz0r3d - November 9, 2012 10:43 a.m.

They didn't release any sensitive information. Nothing about the raid was released, and nothing about tactics or weapons that we don't already know about. They were disciplined because they happened to be current SEAL Team 6 members, and they shouldn't be involved in anything like this because they're active duty. If they were veterans, the Navy/Pentagon wouldn't care. So honestly, this is just stupid.
  • talleyXIV - November 9, 2012 12:54 p.m.

Not even for a good game.

Well... since Games Radar doesn't have a way to discreetly contact the editors via email, public humiliation is my only option: will an Editor for this website please attend to this article and fix all of the misspellings and misplaced or missing punctuation? If you need help in identifying all of your mistakes (I spotted 7) then you are welcome to email me at the address on file.
