A new Earthworm Jim title is in the pipeline for next-gen consoles, according to an anonymoussource close to the game's development.
What makes this more exciting than the standard whispered announcement, though, is that it's going to be created by the team behind the original game. This includesShiny Entertainment founder Dave Perry, Planet Moon Studios co-founder Nick Bruty,long-serving tunesmith Tommy Tallarico and more.
For those of you too young to drink, Earthworm Jim debuted on 16-bit systems back in 1994 (and again on the Game Boy Advance in 2001), making a name for itself with an overdose of demented personality, lots of colorful action and a hero who screamed "Groovy!" over and over again. The prospect of a new Earthworm Jim(thatdoesn't suck like 2000's abortive 3D attempt did)is an exciting one, so we're hoping to hear more from the team when E3 rolls around.
