I think Ancel said BG&E2 was in development for next-gen consoles some time ago. We wouldn't see the game until late 2013 anyway. And I'm okay with delaying it until 2014 to give the programmers more time to optimize for new hardware.

Rayman Legends might be the reason I pick up a Wii U, well, and Bayonetta 2 obviously. I'm nearly dont Beyond Good and Evil, and so far it's a really good game... Now, I don't know if it deserves the recognition it gets, but then again it has aged a bit. I'd definitely be happy for the sequel to see the light of day.

Look at the Rabbids games as an example. Only the first and the 4th (Rabbids go Home) were really good. The rest ranged from solid (RRR2) to meh (RRR3, Travel in Time) to piss-poor (Alive and Kicking, the ports of RRR1).
I don't think Rayman's had any real misses (that bad port of Rayman 2 to the DS aside), but anything can happen.
