So they give you an Introductory game to try and introduce *cough dumbass excuse) to the games mechanics and give you a taste of it's plot. Then they will sell you the final part of the game . Hideo Kojima wants to empty his fans pockets and make mad dollars before he ends the MGS Title. At least he is starting to think like Western Publishers. "Take as much as you can from your fans, because they'll buy it up out of stupidity."

Ground Zeroes (GZ) is going to be a digitally distributed ("pre-DLC" if you will), probably cost $30 to $40, with the Phantom Pain (PP) costing $60 and be both digital and physically distributing.
It's a great sales technique. Rather than have people pay for one game for $60, you'll pay $80 for essentially the same game. Those who plan to buy PP, no matter what, will this huge amount for what is essentially one game. Those with their doubts will buy GZ and make up their mind, but by then Konami will have your $20 to $30.
Wave of the future for game sales and distribution. Kind of sucks that one game is being cut up into two to make more money. That Kojimi, what an "artist."

I have a crazy idea. Maybe Ground Zeroes (which at the time of this comment has been confirmed as the prequel) will feature Hayter voicing Big Boss. Then after the whole coma thing 9 years later in the Phantom Pain, it will be the new guy due to Snake not being able to talk for years and getting older.
I base this theory on the fact that he says he was never asked for MGSV: The Phantom Pain, but no one ever asked about MGS5: Ground Zeroes
