Interesting, although I won't be jumping on this for a while...
Not that I don't like the idea of playing computer games on a big screen while sitting on a couch... It's just I only have a small, fat TV right now haha
Plus (even if I had a big screen), I'm not sure I like the idea of hooking up my personal computer to a TV in the living room (while I'm living at home at the very least...).

I moved my tower to the living room months ago and tested "big picture" mode. Its an amazing experience, i do my email, spreadsheets and everything actually on a big screen. Of course the gaming is amazing. Contrary to popular belief a PC is much cheaper for gaming when you take advantage of Gabes big sales. From the perspective a family watching their costs it becomes way cheaper to get a gameing rig when everyone can use it for their particular needs as needed. Mom for Facebook, dad for porn and number crunching and the kiddies for games etc..

I like the idea but it still has a long way to go. It seems a lot less stable than the normal interface and several supposedly controller compatible games still required a mouse and or keyboard to do anything.
But that aside, I am happy it exists.

"First first-person web browser" -- because of a reticle? A reticle is an icon, moves around when you move the stick/d-pad.... The Dreamcast had a web browser, but didn't have a crosshair-style icon...

Sounds perfect for me and my girlfriend, considering we'd love to play some games against each other or in co-op as long as we can do it in the comfort of my living room. And I have quite a few controller-friendly games that I'd rather play on the couch.
But I don't want to move my computer to the TV. It's a Bravia Internet TV and I can add it to my network. Does this suffice, or do I need extra stuff?
By the way, congratulations to db1331!

This is specifically for large TVs or sit a long distance form their couch.
It's a UI made for Media Center PCs to be useful with both Keyboard and Controller. Think of it as Steam for Console people.

I must be missing something... I can just plug my LED TV into the back of my computer with an HDMI cable no problem. I have been able to to do that for years. I am also use a wireless video adapter if I want also. My TV has 10 different ports and connection options and is a smart TV so I see no point.
So what am I missing here? What makes this such a big deal?
