I wholeheartedly want Ghirahim and Groose to be in the next Super Smash Bros. game. GROOSE!
  • ihopethisisnotantistasblood - March 24, 2012 6:42 a.m.

    lol goku
  • Nap1400 - March 24, 2012 5:42 a.m.

Alright, because reader's choice is coming into the question now... I'd actually like to see Amaterasu. Sure, it's another case of not-as-popular-as-Megaman-or-Ryu, but with her appearance in MvC3, it doesn't seem too far out of the question to see her at least considered. Project Sora could probably just borrow her attacks from MvC3 as a moveset reference, or they could go from scratch if they wanted. Oh, and you guys are GamesRadar. GamesRadar loves Okami. Therefore, Ammy should at least be mentioned on here somehow.
  • Nomado - March 24, 2012 5:23 a.m.

Nintendo should, No they must add Shulk from Xenoblade Chronicles to next Super Smash Bros. I wanna see him and play him again
  • Poggs - March 24, 2012 3:35 a.m.

I would love to see Little Mac, Captain Rainbow, and MIke Jones in SSB4.
  • Plague - March 24, 2012 1:42 a.m.

I wanna see the kid and his tank from blaster master.
  • ACGUY - March 23, 2012 8:32 p.m.

Here's some more you should add either as reader's choice or ACGUY's choice? SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1st Party Baby Bowser/ Baby Mario: This has been begged for a long time and although the most common theories of his gameplay is over powered it can actually be balanced. Baby Bowser (form)- Pros: Strong Attack, High Defense, Special attacks versatile, and Heavy (knock back). Cons: Slow, slow charge up, low jumps, low range, and heavy (falling down). Shadow Mario (form): Pros: FAST!, fast attacks, fast charge ups, special move paint brush used to trap or slow opponents down for beat downs, and long range/ reach. Cons: attacks weaker, weak defense, easily knocked back, all specials revolve around the paint brush, and don't do damage only trapping or slowing opponents. Final Smash: Baby Bowser: Airship bombing/ Shadow Mario: Petty Pirahna Rampage. Chances: Plausible if in need to fill the roster with fan-fare. Magnus: Although recently being new and introduced into Kid Icarus: Uprising he still not only a charming character, but is just such a badass and can give variety to the Kid Icarus crew in this smash fest. Pros: High Attack, high defense, long reach with sword attacks, high jumps. Cons: Special Attacks suck, medium speed, very heavy so although he has high jumps he falls quickly. Final Smash: Dark Lord Gaol team up. Chances: Very Likely Project Sora made Uprising and now the new installment of SSB, and Magnus has fans with his badassarey for a reason! Nuff said. Fawful: I don't know how he would work, but he is just CHORTLES! Chances:I HAVE FURY! 3rd Party Ezio: The awesomest Assassin in the whole creed and truly the one who had the most impact on Desmond's journey for all pieces of Eden and stopping a certain Templar space probe. Although he has not appeared on any Nintendo platforms. Altiar has appeared on DS spin-offs, and Assassin's Creed 3 is confirmed for Wii U so why not introduce Conord, or preferably Ezio. Pros: High Attack, FAST, versatility of weapons and range. Cons: Easily knocked back, up-jump sucks since the hook blade will be a grappling hook with him launching himself up a bit before shooting, ranged weapons like his gun loading, or readying throwing knives. Final Smash: Apple of Eden or maybe forcing his opponents to play tower defense? Ryu: Hadouken! Let's be honest with this next installment there will probably be two maybe three characters per company. For Capcom it's Mega Man and Ryu! He's made for fighting, tailor made for Smash, and let's be honest Ryu is taking over as Capcom's mascot :( Pros: High Attack, Good Defense, Good Speed, great smashes and specials, attacks can cover range issues or get him up close from fleeing opponents, and ready for almost any character. Cons: Initial two jumps are okay, some attacks do leave him open if he misses, and combo breakers. (:o Final Smash: Metsu Hadouken or Satsui no Hadō (turns him into a unstoppable force temporarily due to him giving himself to it in order to win this struggle.) Chances: If Capcom joins pretty high especially with SSF4 3D.ED. and finally my favorite the IMPOSSIBRU! party. Master Cheif: He's Microsoft and Bungie didn't take him even though he was planed to have a spin off released on the DS at one point. That was crushed quickly by Microsoft. Final Smash: Covenant Bomb. When he was giving back their bomb he decides to miss and kill a bigger threat to the UNCS. Like a boss! Chances: :| Nathan Drake: He's part of Naughty Dog/ Sony and Sony has been trying to beat Nintendo getting desperate enough to use RIIIIIDDDGGGGGGEEEE RACER and Giant Crabs! If Nintnedo asked them for Nathan they would just laugh and walk back into their Developer Sweatshop of goodness. Final Smash: Parkour or Helicopters. Chances: (Gameover screen) Commander Shepard: This is one bad ass mother specter! Even you play as a complete paragon (you pussy) he still is a boss. With the reapers and the entire galaxy riding his Normandy! ;D For good reason so why won't he be in this then? EA is so conservative of their titles that not even renegade Shepard can stop them. Final Smash: Horrible repeating half-assed endings with different colored explosions! Pew Pew! Chances: Nintendo sends bitch reporter to persuade her decks her in the face! Chuck Norris: (O.O) Final Smash: Grins.(0.0)' Chances: (Roundhouse Kick! Explosions!) So this should defiantly be considered and you should add this especially for IMPOSSIBRU! characters. Also keep updating this until E3 and see if we get it right!

let's just make this Video Game Character Smash while we are at it
  • Beoftw - March 23, 2012 11:17 p.m.

What a waste of a comment. Not only are over half of your picks not even Nintendo related, but could be thought up by any blind and def 12 year old with half an imagination.
  • ACGUY - March 25, 2012 7:29 p.m.

What a waste of being a dick your comment was to disprove someone's opinion when there wasn't even a criteria stated of what they had to do? You sir clearly need to learn how to read before you act like an ass.
  • shawksta - March 23, 2012 7:27 p.m.

Lol Groose? Hell yeah, most likely in a skyward sword stage he'll be in the background using the groosinator, if not maybe as an assist Trophy. Also, theres literally no reason why we havnt seen Geno, it would be nice for it to appear SOMEWHERE.
  • BladedFalcon - March 23, 2012 10:22 p.m.

They explained right there why: Copyright shenanigans and redtape with square and such.
  • shawksta - March 23, 2012 10:37 p.m.

I know that already, there's is no perfect explanation as to why they wont show Geno anywhere, i mean Mario Hoops 3-on-3 and Sports Mix had square and their final fantasy icons of Black mage/white mage/Ninja there, why not a single organism of Geno? Do they just want him to die?
  • BladedFalcon - March 23, 2012 11:36 p.m.

Probably. Neither Nintendo or square seem very enthusiastic in any way to bring back anything related to that Mario RPG.
  • TrouserSnake - March 23, 2012 7:12 p.m.

Seeing as how our suggestions are being taken into consideration by Henry Gilbert as he adds to the list I have a few more characters that need mention like The Skull Kid or one of the Ninja Turtles or Simon from Castlevania.
  • rastamadeus - March 23, 2012 7:09 p.m.

Rayman? RAYMAN?! Are you seriously saying you want Rayman - the most charmless, bland, unlikeable video game character since Bubsy the Bobcat or Aero the Acrobat - to be in Smash 4? Are you saying that as a wind up or are you genuinely that mental in the face? That is the worst character idea I've ever heard. Magnus, Medusa (Kid Icarus), Dillon (Rolling Westen) and Ghirahim will all be in it, as will Travis as Suda51 has spoke before about asking Sakurai to include him in a future entry. Sakurai has also gone on record saying he wants Takamura (Nazo no Murasame Jō) or Balloon Fighter in the next one. So there's six or seven nailed on new characters.
  • codystovall - March 23, 2012 6:52 p.m.

Raguna from Harvest Moon Rune Factory would be cool!
  • HankVenture - March 23, 2012 6:28 p.m.

You still didn't include Ray MK III? Look I know no body played Custom Robo, but it has 3 trophies in past games which actually introduced most people to Custom Robo, it even had attacks! It would be a neat, but simple design. It's attacks can range between different types of guns, (pistols, shotguns, bombs, laser rifles.) It has jet packs for a hover jump. Seriously, this should be on the list, I'm not even a big fan AT ALL, I played custom robo for a weekend. It's a perfect fit!
  • revrock - March 24, 2012 9:19 a.m.

right on! I am somebody who played Custom Robo (on GCN and DS!)
  • AshLynx - March 23, 2012 6:21 p.m.

I quite like some of these ideas, Travis Touchdown would have to be my favorite. A good smash move for him would be his specials where he randomly shouted out the name of one of his favorite desserts and gained a random superpower, making his a random result smash. Groose might make a good assist trophy, but not a playable. But the one I failed to see was Klonoa! He had that recent Wiimake game that didn't sell as well as its quality dictated it should have, but there are also the two GBA games, not to mention more in Japan (like that RPG we never got, I think that was GBA too). Nintendo has put other more obscure heroes and one game characters into the SSB series, why not Klonoa? With him would come Guntz and Ghadius as assist trophies. Guntz would be a straight up fighting/shooting assist trophy while Ghadius would go into his boss fight Wheel of Woe and act a bit like Andross. And since the Klonoa world is already 2D with 3D backgrounds and characters, there's tons of great things already there that don't need to be hugely messed with, not to mention there are tons of great set pieces throughout the Wiimake that would make great arenas.
