If our hands-on descent into the throes of Resident Evil: The Mercenaries wasn't enough of a taster of how the new 3DS spin-off will work, maybe it's time to take a look at the game's trailer all on its own. Here's what Capcom has seen fit to reveal to you, their adoring public: all things considered, it's pretty generous with the eye candy.

At first blush, the trailer presents the title less as a mini-game (even one worth completing RE5 just to unlock) stretched out to cartridge-filling size, and more like a greatest-hits of the last two RE titles, with any and all story elements replaced by added opportunities to punch zombies in the face. What do you think of the action on show? Would you pay $40 for a standalone Mercenaries? How mad are you that I'm just calling Ganados and Majini “zombies” like they're all the same thing?
