Nintendo shares new Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance trailer

Nintendo has delivered a new trailer for Square Enix's Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance for the 3DS. The clip hails from the Big N's recent online press conference, and showcases a cutscene and gameplay footage from the upcoming sequel. Oddly enough, despite being entirely in Japanese, the story actually seems easier to follow than some of the more recent English-language Kingdom Hearts spin-offs:

Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance is the seventh chapter in the Final Fantasy/Disney hybrid series, and takes place after Kingdom Hearts Coded. It follows Sora and Riku as they take on the Mark of Mastery test to become official Keyblade Masters in order to stop a newly resurrected Xenohart; a task which requires them to unlock the 'The Keyhole of Sleep' by 'waking up' key worlds which remain emerged in sleep and are under attack from the gnarly, interdimensional Dream Eaters. Trust us, it'll all make sense. Give yourself a heads up with our hands-on preview from last month.

Sora's next adventure will be ready for the 3DS next Spring.

I'm holding off on this again. They'll probably port all of the handheld games to the PS3 (or its successor, depending on how long it will take) at some point, and when that happens i'll only be buying Birth By Sleep, otherwise known as the last true KH game since KH2. And WHY do they keep the baby faces? The boys are in their late teens now. Enough already with the handheld ports, just get started on KH3 already instead of teasing us with mediocre (again, with the exception of BBS) handheld titles.

I wonder how big a part Neku will play... if he's in most of the game, then I pretty much have to get it.

I might buy this game for Neku alone if they play WEWY music everytime he shows up That game has the best soundtrack

So Sora now wears his Valour attire as his normal clothing, does that mean that form-shifting is out?

Thats awesome that The World Ends With You is going to be in the next game, but I am sick and f@$%ing tired of having to buy a new system every time a new kingdom hearts game comes out. Just stick to the PSP or something. They have had KH on PS2, GBA, DS, PSP, and now 3DS. I mean come on, how I am suppose to afford to keep up with the series?

Neku looks kinda funny in 3D, just something about the face, I dunno. Also, why does Sora have a panda and a whale-dog thing for partners?
