Regarding the short length, it seems like it didn't take Nintendo long to understand how to use DLC... I will still pick this up when it releases, I have been interested in it as soon as I heard about it due to the coin rush mode.

I still remember getting up an hour before school to attempt the last star in Mario 64, and it was a sky level 100 coins. It took me two weeks to get it, but it felt sooooo good when I did.

Was it Rainbow Ride, because that was the last star I got! Rainbow Ride 100 coins. That was back in 2007, after playing the game for 6 years. Heh, I got the game when I was 4 or 5, so my parents would get stars for me late at night, until I was old enough to do it myself. Then I got the remaining 39 starts when I was older. I was so happy when I finally did it. :D

I can see how the NSMB thing is getting a bit stale. I was hoping this one would be the best though since I have almost no faith in the WiiU one. I'm hoping they're done with NSMB games for a while and focus on the next 3D console release.

I am so sick of Mario games right now, the guys needs to take a break for a while. Like for 10 years. Fat chance of that happening with WiiU around the corner. Consider this franchise.... milked.

Curiousity is just killing my cat over here. What does 1 million coins get you?

    Google it, it's... yeah.

Nintendo is getting notoriously stingy as of late. It was bad enough when they didn't include the triple jump for SM64 DS but this is just ridiculous.

Just looked, all I have to say is :(

Solid
YOU'LL LOVE
  • Hours of new Mario fun
  • Challenges players in exciting new ways
  • Brings back well-loved powers and enemies
YOU'LL HATE
  • The formula is getting too familiar
  • The quest for a million coins is ultimately unfulfilling
  • Even with 9 worlds and dozens of levels, it isn’t deep enough
