New Fable 3 DLC fetches new dog breeds

After months of waiting, countless petitions and near riots in the forums, Lionhead Studios is finally giving Fable 3 fans what they've been demanding since its launch: poodles.

Available now, the 'Dog Breed Pack' allows champions of Albion to transform their furry companions into one of three new dog types including a German Shepherd, Doberman and the aforementioned poodle. The pack costs 240 MPs and can be downloaded from the Xbox Live Marketplace or Fable III's in-game store, the latter of which you probably know about thanks to Jasper's ever-so-helpful in-game reminders.

In its effort to get into the holiday spirit (or as an apology for charging money for virtual dogs), Lionhead is also making available free Santa hats for all Fable III players. Again, you likely already know this thanks to Jasper who can't seem to shut the hell up about Fable III's in-game store for two friggin' minutes!

Where were we? Yes, dogs and Santa hats. And a happy holidays to you too, Lionhead!

German Shepards for the win. Too bad it's DLC, should have been in the game as an option

I promptly downloaded the Yule Hat this morning and equipped it, to which Jasper asked if I was dressing up for a circus. -_-' Can we have height & weight potions now Lionhead?

At first, I was upset that Jasper was struck mute under mysterious circumstances (was it the Spanish Inquisition?),but then I realized that I wouldn't have to hear him shilling the latest over-priced DLC,making it a fair trade. I already used up my alotted 'madcap mirth' MS points for wasting on pointless add-ons and trinkets buying the dog costume, anyway. Maybe if it were a poodle skirt,I'd have to give it a chance. Fuzzy gloves and boots + Kilt=Industrial Age Barbarian costume. Just the thing for the Albionite not quite ready to embrace the future.

    That's kind of sad, really.

Too bad I don't care anymore. I'm not going to replay it because they added some dogs a month later. When it came out I was going to buy a dog DLC but when the only choice was Red Setter I said Meh and moved on.
