As trailers are at pains to mention, we love the hell out of the 2010 version of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit. Any fears that the game might be better titled Burnout: Hot Burnout were put to rest on release, with all the best bits of Criterion's previous racer brought over and the dross left behind. And a new trailer highlights plans to make it even better – but there's a catch.

As promised, the game's deal is this. If the launch trailer reaches 1 million views by December 12, these three cars will be available to all comers. If not, they're off to the virtual scrap yard – or you'll just have to pay a couple bucks for them.

The new trailer highlights exactly what you'll be playing for: the Dodge Viper SRT10 Final Edition, Bentley Continental Supersports and the Lamborghini Murciélago LP 650-4 Roadster. So off you go, get to doing Hot Pursuit's advertising work – the marketing department's loss is the DLC division's gain, after all.
