It's easy to forget that the original Myst was one of the best selling games ever. Back in the early '90's, even the elderly, notorious for cowering in the face of technology, were pounding their arthritic fingers to the million-selling, point-and-click adventure. It eventually reached another hallowed benchmark of popularity: being referenced on The Simpsons.
Myst V: End of Ages may have wrapped up the main storyline, but not only does the tale live on in Myst Online: Uru Live; it never has to end. Introduction of new characters, such as last week's Cate Alexander, carry in-game consequences. And in this case she's helped to open up several new areas to explore.
