It's perhaps a bit surreal to introduce Charles's Darwin and Dickens as pre-order exclusive characters but Assassin's Creed Syndicate has managed it with ease. 'Industrial era heavy-hitters' is definitely a new way to describe the pair who just, y'know, changed the worlds of science and literature.
The below trailer shows off the 'Darwin and Dickens Conspiracy' for Jacob and Evie's Victorian adventures and looks far more entertaining than it should be with a sprinkling of the old Michael Bay explosions and a few wry jokes. If the DLC looks this entertaining, it's a promising sign for the full game.
It's worth noting that Ubi Quebec was the studio responsible for both the Freedom Cry and Tyranny Of King Washington DLC packs which were both great add ons. AC3's King Washington DLC made Connor significantly more interesting (not that that's difficult) by giving him super powers and was far more fun than it had any right to be. If Syndicate follows suit, we're in good hands.
