Really impressed by how this looked. And I am really loving how it has non regenerating health bar, and supplies and bullets are limited, yet the action is fast and pretty frigging brutal. I was expecting this game to be good, but I admit I cynically expected it to be more like uncharted, I'm so glad to see I was wrong.

Holy damn I can't wait for this game now. I was excited about it before, sure, but seeing it in motion...this game is likely going to be GOTY 2013 (unless ND surprises with a 2012 date) and it looks like it'll be way more deserving of that title than any Uncharted game.

You definitely were NOT the only ones who gasped at the end.

This is the kind of exclusive I bought my PS3 for. It looks brilliant- violent, probably touching, somewhat innovative- everything a game should be. I really can't wait for this. And, is it just me (or have I missed something) or does the girl remind you a lot of Ellen Page? I mean, I found it quite creepy when I heard about thingy Cage having Ellen Page in his next game.

it is ellen page u retard
  • jackthemenace - June 5, 2012 4:39 p.m.

OK, so I DID miss something. But thank you for pointing it out in such a dignified and respectful way. It is SO hard to find intelligent people such as yourself on the internet.

It's actually Ashley Johnson (whoever the hell she is). Before calling other people retards, you may want to check your facts.

And one shotgun to the face later, Naughty Dog earns their first M rating.

Reminds me of Enslaved so much but with modern day characters.
  • Jacko415 - June 5, 2012 4:51 p.m.

i think i read something about the designers from Enslaved having thier hand in this. but i could be wrong, the environments are VERY reminiscent of enslaved.

    I... I want a PS3.

    HOLY. SHIT.

Damn, times like these when I wish I had a PS3. I would love a game like this...

Just from the what 5 minutes of gameplay we saw I would say it doesnt look like an escort mission to me, more of a partnership. Also, I need this game, survival in a post apocolyptic world just plain looks like an awesome game. There are SO many aspects of what I saw going on here that is SO right. Also, if the story is good whats wrong with linear? All stories really ARE linear when you think about it. @Geek, no it wasnt the FPS making you feel nauseous, it was blowing half that guys face off at the end man. It was pretty intense.
  • WBxRelentless - June 6, 2012 12:19 a.m.

They state that the dude is escorting the girl for someone else. Do some research.
  • TheHowetzer - June 6, 2012 4:34 a.m.

@ WBxRelentless Yes they do say that, thats what it was supposed to be was smuggling her out of quarantine, then shit hits the fan and they are outside the quarantine zone and cannot go back which I think changes the dynamic a tad dont you? I would say it becomes more of a partnership for survival and besides that I was simply refering to someones comment about the whole game being an escort mission and how that does not sound appealing. From the short clip we saw here considering she ACTIVELY helped him to survive I felt it was more of a partnership and less of an escort. Did you know they were in quarantine and that he promised his last friend in the world he would take care of her? Did you know he was a smuggler who is around 40 years old and thus has lived in the former world as well as this new (and horrible) one where the only remaining outpost of civilization is a quarantine zone living under martial law? I did my research ass hole. Since we are now talking and we have decided to go ahead and use the last sentence to give some sort of baseless and worthless command, I will end with the following: Learn to read and understand peoples' comments before spouting off about them.

Can't wait for this. If Uncharted is anything to go by then at least your partner won't be getting into trouble every few seconds. I'm liking the health bar and lack of ammo. Should make it a pretty tense game. Did anyone else notice how the game didn't stop when he was getting the molotov from his backpack?
  • metalgatesolid - June 5, 2012 2:02 a.m.

Wow...Cannot believe how brutal this game is. Uncharted lacks guilt for the kills but this looks amazing. Similar to I am Alive in many respects but this looks fantastic and Naughty Dog are fantastic at story telling so this could be the next AAA title for the PS3 that everyone must own.
  • lazer59882 - June 5, 2012 1:48 a.m.

if its gonna be short, hyper-linear, and overly reliant on cutscenes like the rest of naughty dog's games, count me out.
  • lazer59882 - June 5, 2012 1:49 a.m.

also: the whole game is an escort mission. siiick.
