Hitman Absolution interview: developers share their vision, and their favorite ways to assassinate

Why did it take so long to get a new Hitman game, and was the new engine worth that wait? How do developers plan to make the series “more accessible” while simultaneously “really hard”? Can we still aim for a Silent Assassin rating, and will earning it also earn us a super generous Achievement or Trophy?

And last but definitely not least, what’s the better murder weapon: a fire axe or a hospital syringe?

Our friends at OXM always ask the important questions. Check out their in-depth interview with the Hitman Absolution team below.

This is the only game I feel genuinely excited for this year. Hitman is one of my favourite franchises. Great Feature!

I'm with BladedFalcon on this one, Hitman: Blood Money was the only Hitman game I played and I didn't care for it. This however looks awesome, I'm definitely going to keep my eye on it.

Never played Hitman before but from what I've seen of this game, it looks pretty sweet. I definitely think I'll have to give this game a try!

Frankly, I had never been a fan of the Hitman series before, so frankly I hadn't paid attention to this one either. But earlier I saw a rather long video showcasing a level here in which you escape a building crawling with cops... And it looked pretty damn good, really grabbed my attention. So I'm now actually looking forward to this ^^ Also, it's good to hear the game can be really challenging if you want it to be... I only hope that even in normal settings, the game can be challenging enough. (meaning, that they force you to me mostly stealthy and to think things trough, not just allow you to be trigger happy and shoot everyone, that would destroy the point of the game, the way it looks like...)

It still boggles the mind to think that the people who created Kane and Lynch also created Hitman and Freedom Fighters.

You say kane and lynch like they were bad games. There are certainly a fair amount of players out there who really enjoyed those games, including myself. I have completed the 1st game several time aswell as the 2nd one and i really cant see whats so bad about them.
