From what we played of all three modes at X06, we expect Gears of War to deliver high quality thrills on all counts, as long as visceral thrills last for the entire game. It's hard to tell, since we've only sampled a continuously improving first level. But if the quality we've seen can be maintained and the programmers can squash the still remaining minor frame rate problems, Gears of War will become exactly what Microsoft needs for November's Wii/PS3 showdown.
