lol if it wasn't for SWTOR, I would ask why not Revan. But thankfully, he's been unmasked. :p

Q is one of best and most interesting SF characters ever, yet he's never been in any other game since SF3, while boring crap like Ryu makes it to every edition.... Logic....

Throughout Borderlands 2, Handsome Jack continually proved to be an interesting and complex character. As the game progressed, you learned more and more things about him that would make him more and more reviling and intriguing at the same time. Like many psychologically disturbed villains, it's compelling hearing his commentary and reactions to your ongoing efforts to thwart him, and as the game edges closer to the end you can really get the sense that he's fully unraveled, until the very end when he's completely lost it. It almost feels charitable defeating him once and for all, and he even maintains a certain mystery to him after he's gone, as you never get to see his face. That was one of the things that made him engrossing as a character... as I played with my friends, almost every one of them was curious as to what his real face looked like. As I went on, the mask he wore only appeared more artificial, and the only clue you'd ever have as to his actual appearance were those different colored eyes, staring at you from an interminable distance behind this facade of a man, the visage of a vain lunatic cartoon villain willingly bound to this man's face. It's fitting, then, that we never got to see what was beyond it. It's evident that he never even regards it as a mask, completely ignoring anyone else's comments about it. There was nothing behind it. He had become his own mask.

You can actually get to see Jack's real face. You have to let Lilith kill him after the final fight instead of doing it yourself.

I KNOW, RIGHT?! How did he not make this list?

Well, I'd argue that it's because it's very easy to figure out why Corvo wears the mask. It isn't because of some mental debilitation... it's for a completely logically sound purpose that is nonetheless explained as soon as you receive it early in the game. Corvo is a wanted man. The people of Dunwall believe he is responsible for the Empress' murder. So, he is given a cool (and admittedly disturbing) mask to wear. Easy.

Corvo's face is actually all over the game on billboards, the wanted posters and a short glimpse of him in the ending.

Interestingly (at least to me), if you're playing a stealth, or 'ghost' playthrough, it actually doesn't appear on the posters. If nobody spots Corvo during the game (guards etc) then the posters just have a black figure on them and the words 'unknown assassin' or something similar. Nice touch by Arkane.

I always thought that Meta Knight wore his mask so that he could better control the urge to eat everything, like Kirby does. I have absolutely no proof of this, but if he is the same thing as kirby, and never is seen eating or sucking up things, then I would have to assume its because of the mouthless mask

No mention of Rick or Vega? Well, I guess we all know why they each wear a mask.
