The gold rush on the Game of Thrones setting continues in the gaming world as yet another company is announcing plans for a video game adaptation of the series. This time, it's going to take place on Facebook.
A company called Disruptor Beam - which specializes in making social adaptations of major IPs - will be developing the game. They have not yet announced a release date or many details about the game aside from the following statements:
"Lead the life of a noble during the time of upheaval as portrayed in the books and the series thus experiencing a new type of game that unites both story and strategy.Players will claim their birthright by choosing which of the great houses they'll swear allegiance to, securing their holdings, developing their lands and personal reputation, and assigning sworn swords to quests--while forging alliances with new friends and much more!"
That statement makes it sound relatively similar to many other medieval kingdom-building scoail games. According to the company's official web page, "You and your friends will live out tales of intrigue, sacrifice and deception within the Game of Thrones universe."
Unfortunately, that's all the information we have at this point. We're not sure how Disruptor Beam intends to realize the land of Westeros, or in what style of gameplay. Either way, we wish them the very best of luck as we're still waiting for a proper Game of Thrones experience.
