When last we saw Arya Stark on Game of Thrones, she was walking through the streets of Braavos clutching her chest after a brutal encounter with the waif. It's fair to say that the immediate future for Maisie Williams' character looks pretty bleak right now, but a new theory may shed some light on Arya's ultimate survival (and escape) plan. It all comes down to this...did the waif stab Arya, or just someone who looked like her?
Redditter Woohiya seems to think it's the latter, and her evidence is worth a look. While this image sees Arya posing as orphan Lanna who sells oysters, clams, and cockles...
...the second image sees Arya walking by a girl who has the same outfit and hairstyle as Lanna...
...which leads us to this question - was Arya's plan all along to draw out the waif so that she could attack her? If 'a girl' does have such a plan, it seems a very risky one. Here' hoping episode 8 - which is ominously titled 'No One' - will answer whether this theory (and many, many others) is way off base or right on the money.
Season 6 of Game of Thrones airs Sundays on HBO in the US, and Sky Atlantic on Mondays in the UK.
