First shown when Final Fantasy 15 was still going to be known as Versus 13, the original heroine Stella has now been dropped from the game. After nine years in development and a change of focus, a lot has changed about the project and Director Hajime Tabata announced during a recent Active Time Report that he "found it increasingly difficult to make sense of Stella’s character and role within FFXV." Instead she will be replaced by someone called Luna who will serve a slightly different role within the story.
A scene showing an attack on the city of Insomnia that was included during the promotion of Versus 13 has also been cut as the order of story events has now changed to accomdate 15's change of direction.
The release date for the update to the Duscae demo was also announced as the 9th of June with several new additions, including the ability to fight the giant long-necked monsters that currently stand in the middle of the lake, and tweaks to the battle system.
A few titbits for the future of Final Fantasy 15 also slipped out, including the ability to customise your trusty car using all of the items you pick up in the game world, and while it was confirmed that nothing new will be shown at E3 this year, a new trailer and more information have been promised for Gamescom in August.

Dani's ears prick up every time the words 'final' and 'fantasy' are mentioned in the same sentence. Great when talking about JRPGs, but it becomes a real hassle when discussing the finals of your fantasy football league. Cloud would totally be a better striker than Rooney.
