Electronic Arts will be reveling in its franchises at GamesCom 2012 this week. On the showfloor, EA has promised to offer new looks at some of its biggest IP, including Crysis 3, FIFA 13, Medal of Honor Warfighter, Need for Speed Most Wanted, and SimCity.
That gameplan is very much in line with the publisher’s 2011 presence at the Cologne, Germany-based show, when Battlefield 3, Star Wars: The Old Republic, and The Secret World were its latest-and-greatest. However, EA also had an ace, in the form of FIFA Street, which it announced at the show.
It remains to be seen whether EA will trot out any game announcements for this year’s show. Thus far, the publisher has only committed to “new game content, features, and services,” which while promising, certainly lacks that headline-busting pizzazz.
GamesRadar is hosting a livestream of the publisher’s GamesCom 2012 press conference. The event kicks off tomorrow morning (that is, August 14), at 7 am PDT.
