"it should be on consoles too" NOPE. Unless the PS4 / Xbox Next have keyboards bundled, keep that shit away from consoles...on second thought...keep it away anyways. The PC barrier is the filter for the lower 50% of people in the world, ie: the most stupid/immature/lazy of the bunch. I'd rather not have the 12 year old redneck kid alternating between "YOURE A STUPID N***R" and "I'm going to sing my rendition of Lady Gaga" roaming the same lands as me. What I'd give for ESRB ratings to actually be enforced. /sigh

    1. The PS3 already has the option of using a keyboard and the Xbox kinda implemented it so its not going to be that hard to do it again/better. 2. PC gamers are better than console gamers? Come on not with this shit again. There is little difference between the two except that PC gamers are less hardcore than consoles because they are stupid enough to having to keep upgrading their system, spending well over a thousand dollars for a game I can play for about 400. PC gamers just like to feel all high and mighty because they forgot that there is no such thing as a "top of the line" PC, because as soon as you said that, another, better PC was just made.

Somewhat agreed, especially the beginning of two, but trying to reason with some people is just futile. It just makes things worse.

Although I hate the word that I'm about to use, it's actually a good fit to what I wish to get across. Please quit feeling entitled to a game because your preferred system is mainly keyboard based. People just keep forgetting that any console is literally a computer, the only difference is the cost and ability to upgrade. People are damn fools if they think they are somehow better because they have a different computer. It's pretty unfathomable how immature people are about this subject. What I don't understand is that some gamers who play mainly on PC do not bicker about themselves of who's rig is better, because that's what the whole console vs PC argument is about. Ridiculous.

What I want from Elder Scrolls Online: for it to be cancelled.
  • PevMaster - May 4, 2012 1:09 p.m.

Fuck off. Nobody cares about you're whining.
  • lazer59882 - May 4, 2012 8:46 p.m.

That'd be "your" not "you're". Fucking idiot.
  • scott-stewart - May 5, 2012 12:57 p.m.

Why the fuck would you want that?
  • SpiritTemple - May 6, 2012 2:41 a.m.

Exactly what I was going to say.

There are some nice ideas in that list, it's a shame though that since this was written and the new information they have released about the game, nearly none of them are going to be in the game. The thing I'm the most disappointed about is that the combat is going to be point and click by using a hotbar to activate them, you know like WOW. It's also going to look like Rift with some TOR thrown in. No personal housing no marriage or romance and more than likely no Dragons. A large part of the game is not going to be in the release as they are keeping them for further releases for example winterhold and the mage's college will be missing at release. It will also take roughly 120 hours to max out your character, so it's quite a short game leading up to the end content, maybe a week or two of gameplay. It will all be voiced acted. So it is going to be just a normal run of the mill MMO that will bring absolutely nothing new to the drawing board that has not been done before. I'm finding this more than a little bit disappointing, and with what I've been reading on other sites, I'm not the only one.

I do like the fact that they are setting it well out of the way of the single player games. But I cant for the life of me see the point? its a massive gamble for them seeing that the MMORG is over saturated at moment.

I bet that that it will only start with some provinces, and the rest will be expansions. That would be reasonable IMO. Re-creating such a vast world for the start would just be a bit much I think. I actually want to play this MMO, so long as it turns out much like this article is suggesting. It just seems impractical to expect the whole of Tamriel available from the outset, even if it makes sense when it comes to choosing races (choose a race, and you will start out in that race's home country by default).

Since the Arena was first built by Gaiden Shinji in roughly 1E 490 and TES:O is circa 2E 530, it's a given that there will b PvP in it but the way I see it outsides of designated battle arenas is this: Assault and Murder are pretty much illigal everywhere so if you attack some one in a city you would be tagged as a criminal and the guard NPCs (and any lawfull player) would attak you. If you commit a non-violent crime the guards will chase you and if you choose to fight or run it will end up the same way. but the guards will have to be better that the ones we've had. Also a safety button like in Fable would be very nice since it's gonna be crowded.

DC Universe Online worked? Is that way it was bombing and went F2P? Is that why PC Gamers dislike it's simplified controls? DC Universe failed in so many ways. Consoles simply can't deal with the mechanics of a real MMO without M+KB. Over simplifying a game doesn't equate to a great game. Public Quests are a dumb feature. Secondly, full VA work isn't required, never will be required. SWTOR isn't doing well so obviously Voice Acting isn't something gamers care about.

You were ok until you started a new paragraph and embraced the stupid wagon.
  • robotdickens - May 5, 2012 2:50 p.m.

Actually SWOTOR is doing pretty well. In a few months, they may overlap WoW's popularity. Voice acting is awesome. I don't have the time or patience to read little texts all the time.
  • Evanesco - May 3, 2012 9:38 p.m.

Keep this away from consoles. Let them bug up one platform instead of all of them.
  • ParagonT - May 6, 2012 9:11 a.m.

Why exactly should they keep this away from consoles when there is money to be made?
  • steelcurtain11 - May 3, 2012 8:28 p.m.

Actually.. it looks like GI's article has already been leaked online,it details a bunch of stuff they're adding in.
  • steelcurtain11 - May 3, 2012 7:57 p.m.

-Leaving combat how it is would be badass, but I guess it'd also make it kind of repetitive and after awhile.. -Guild/individual instanced housing would be nice. -definitely on consoles, the amount of people they'd get would be huge. with keyboard support for chatting and voice over xbox live party chat. -NO subscription! subscriptions kill it for a lot of people. -random events (i.e. an army of monsters marching towards the city gates and if you don't work together they'll wipe out all the important npc's inside, making you wait for them to respawn) -same customization options as previous elder scroll games -focus on first person mode -more crafting customization, weapon types/designs. Skyrim crafting felt really limited and not much to make. -Please keep the elder scrolls graphic style, don't go the asian looking style of aion or things like that.. yuck. -collectors edition with life size armor that you can actually wear and a real dragon.

But what happens when somebody breaks into your house and steals all your crap?
