E3 2011: Halo 4! Microsoft's big money shot dribbles out. First image spotted

With only a couple of hours to go before Microsoft's E3 press conference, it seems that the console mega-giant has pooped its own party by accidentally confirming that Halo 4 is coming. This briefly appeared on the official Xbox 360 site, Xbox.com:

Above: But what does the 'that's not all..' bit mean?

Oops. If Microsoft did have Halo 4 up its big corporate sleeve, then this is a massive gaff. Halo 4 would surely have been the company's MEGATON conference announcement. Oh well. At least we'll still have some Kinect surprises to look forward to. Right? Yeah? Anyone?

Woho! I've been waiting for this ever since "wake me.. when you need me." was said. I hope it's scheduled for 2012; four Halo-games in three years is a bit too much.

If this is true and that's the biggest thing they're announcing, i'm mighty disappointed. I'm still going to watch this damn show though.

Microsoft, why must you shoot yourself in the foot AGAIN? Are you mentally challenged? You did this a few days ago with The Witcher 2, announcing it's release on the 360 without waiting for the conference. Seriously give me the gun, next time you're going to hurt someone else.

2 Halo games and Gears of War... Oh yeah, there will be the exclusive CoD Maps... Kinect... Codename Kingdoms, but that's a Kinect game... Why the fuck am I up this early again? Oh yeah, plumber coming to fix the kitchen sink.

Stop leaking stuff pre-show. It's LAME! Plus the Halo franchise is tired and needs a break.

*splurt* oops. A bit premature, there, Xbox... I hear there are pills you can take for that ;-)

I don't know why I'm surprised by this. Still, I'm excited to see the series actually move forward again. Halo 3's teaser was pretty cool, and as blasphemous as it may sound, I'm kind of excited to see a Halo game not made by Bungie. Having a new team working on it might give the series a sense of freshness that it's been lacking. Also, hopefully they'll improve on Bungie's lackluster storytelling. They've always had really cool stories that were told very poorly.

Holy frick. If this is for real, AWESOME. I honestly think though, that it's too soon to release another Halo within less than a year of the newest one being released. I think that it will be announced with a teaser trailer, and that it will be released about 2013/2014.

Wait, did we not finish the fight?

    Not surprised.
