Good review Hoots, it really reads like you can't get enough. One question, how is enemy AI compared to Haloz?
  • RSQViper - September 19, 2014 8:08 a.m.

Very similar AI. They warp around a bit (literally warp), some enemy types seem to like to flank more than others, some are definitely more meaty and stand there. Shielded try and hide when shields are down. Certain enemies when you shoot them a certain way charge instead of hide/stay back. If they are damaged to less health they tend to go behind cover if they get the change or go behind full health enemies. It's a pretty good mix, tbh. But they aren't all THAT bright. And really, with their abilities and armour/weapons if they were truly intelligent it might be a complete nightmare, especially solo.

Basically what RSQViper said. Very much like Halo, philosophically, but tweaked to fit the weapons and gameplay of Destiny. All races have the same multi-tiered hierachy system going on, and quite a few individual units have obvious Halo parallels. The big Mars guys are rather Brute-like, for instance, and the Fallen Dregs remind me a bit of the Jackals. They're sort of somewhere between them and the Grunts.

Thanks guys, I'm still deciding whether this game is my Destiny or not.

    It is your density.

From a random brother in common on the Internet, it's more than worth a try
