Darksiders 2 trailer shows off the leveling and loot system

This new trailer for Darksiders 2 shows off the loot and leveling systems that are new to the series, and it has us very interested. The one problem with modern action adventure games like God of War is that there isn't much customization involved. From the looks of it, the systems in Darksiders 2 will go a long way toward alleviating that.

This video gave us grand visions of a wonderful future in which we get a Darksiders-esque action adventure melee combat game with a Borderlands-style system of random weapon drops. Nothing on this Earth would be more amazing than that.

Darksiders 2 is due out on August 14 in North America on Xbox 360, PS3, PC and OnLive as well as Wii U some time afterward.

I haven't played the first one yet, but this looks so damn cool, that I am undoubtedly buying it and playing it before this game comes out.

Take a 3D Zelda game, add God of War's combat (with a dash of DMC), throw in some PoP traversal, and wrap it all up in a art style that blends WoW with Warhammer, and you have Darksiders. Take all that, turn it all up to 11, and add Diablo's loot system, and you've got Darksiders 2. I cannot wait for this.

Is it just me or does Ryan Stefanelli keep saying "Darkshiders"?

Seems to similiar to god of war. Different concept, same gameplay.

If Darksiders 2 is like 1 it's actualy more like Zelda. It even had the same combat system that twilight princess had.

I don't remember Twilight princess having very rapid attack systems.
