Command and Conquer gets wordy

Get your read on with novel based on the Tiberium universe

What a novel idea. Electronic Arts recently announced the May 29 release of Command & Conquer: Tiberium Wars, a new book based on the popular real-time strategy game, Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars.

Penned by Keith R. A. DeCandido, the novel will add depth to the Command & Conquer universe that will feed fans of the franchise the details they’ve been dying for. DeCandido is no stranger to the world of science fiction and has also authored Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda: Destruction of Illusions, a novel based on - you guessed it - Gene Roddenberry’s TV series, Andromeda.

"We’re excited to expand the Command & Conquer franchise to a new form of media and offer a depth to the underlying fiction of the game series like never before," said Patrick O'Brien, VP of Business Affairs at EA. "Keith DeCandido wrote a great story, and we’re pleased to have partnered with him and [publisher] Del Rey."

Unfortunately, a book on tape version of Command & Conquer: Tiberium Wars, featuring the smooth sound of Billy Dee Williams was not announced.
